Life-changing nail polish (not really, but it will save you time and money)

I’m not going to bury the lead: Essie Treat Love & Color is better than any nail polish I’ve ever bought. And I’ve bought a lot. Here’s my current collection of barely-used polish:

The problem

I wish I could have back the lost hours I’ve spent brushing on base coats, color and top coats — only to have them chip within 24 hours. How about the money spent on nail salon manicures, only to have them smudge on the drive home, or chip that evening? I briefly flirted with the gel manicure, but the process of “roughing up” turned my nails in to a soft brittle mess.

Speaking of salon manicures, can anyone explain why a salon manicure chips within 24 hours, but a salon pedicure lasts for weeks? Weird.
