I’m not going to bury the lead: Essie Treat Love & Color is better than any nail polish I’ve ever bought. And I’ve bought a lot. Here’s my current collection of barely-used polish:

I wish I could have back the lost hours I’ve spent brushing on base coats, color and top coats — only to have them chip within 24 hours. How about the money spent on nail salon manicures, only to have them smudge on the drive home, or chip that evening? I briefly flirted with the gel manicure, but the process of “roughing up” turned my nails in to a soft brittle mess.
Speaking of salon manicures, can anyone explain why a salon manicure chips within 24 hours, but a salon pedicure lasts for weeks? Weird.
The solution: Essie Love Treat & Color Nail Polish
Less time required
This nail polish is meant to be used without a base coat or top coat. Also, it dries very quickly, so there is less time between coats, and less time spent unable to use your hands or risk a smudge.
No more buying base and top coat bottles. Also, no more salon manicures.
The biggest plus: IT LASTS!
Apparently I’m hard on my nails; a manicure usually lasts about one day for me. Not so with Treat Love and Color.
Here I am, 24 hours in, on Day 2, Essie Treat Love and Color “Good Lighting”:

Finally, after an afternoon of gardening, I’m starting to chip on Day 7:
Once it starts to chip, you remove it with regular nail polish remover, and it comes right off.

Can a nail polish change your life? No. But this one allows you to spend less time and money on pretty nails.
