While I’ve been hunkered down, social-isolating and election-watching, my very clever girlfriends have been finding incredible online purchases I never knew I needed. Here are some things you need to check out — to make life easier, more pleasant, more fun, and more comfy.
This post may contain affiliate links, which means we may make a small commission if you purchase something through the link. You don't pay a cent more than you would otherwise.
By the way, you know you have really good friends when they’ll talk to you about pooping.
Tinkle Razor
Two of my girlfriends described this as life-changing. Seriously.
Nope, this is not for your legs, or even your nether regions. Apparently we dainty gals are carrying a little bit (or maybe a lot) of peach fuzz on our faces. The Tinkle Razor will remove that soft furry coat on our faces, and will exfoliate and act as at-home dermplaning at the same time. My gals swear that a few swipes with the Tinkle will make moisturizer and make up go on as smooth as silk. They also promise that your facial hair won’t grow back thick, stubbly and dark.
For less than $7 for 12 razors on Amazon, this seems like a no-brainer. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases
Bleusalt
We are not affiliates of Bleusalt, but I wish we were. Kalisa told me these are the softest clothes she’s ever worn. I hesitated, because they are a tad pricey. But once I saw how cute they were on her, and how incredibly soft and comfy they are, I dove in. After I received my first order I placed another. I may never wear anything else again.
I am in love with the joggers and the oversized v-neck, which are both amazingly soft.
I recommend the leggings too, which are soft, but not as soft as the joggers and v-neck. (Did I mention how soft they are?). The leggings are nice because they are big longer, and kind of pool around your ankles. The leggings have a high waist with a wide band, which you can fold over or up.
For the joggers and the leggings, I ordered a size up, as I didn’t want them skin tight. And, let’s be honest, the world of quarantines and elections has led to some serious stress eating, and there’s a bit more of me now than there used to be. For the v-neck, I ordered true-to-size, but wish I had gone a size smaller; it is truly “oversized.” And the v-neck is cuter than it looks online.
If you check out their site, you will see a pop-up to get 25% off your first order. Definitely do that. Or keep your eye on facebook, as the other day they advertised a one-day sale where the whole site was 40% off.
Oxy Powder
I can’t believe I’m writing about constipation.
We were enjoying a much-needed couples’ get-away when I learned that almost all the women suffered from constipation, whether travel-related or on a regular basis. One friend swears by these Oxy Powder pills.
She shared her magic poop pills, and all reports were positive. The pills were taken at bedtime, and by morning were doing their job — without cramping or urgency.
Of course everyone should do their own research, and determine whether any product is a good match for them. I haven’t tried these, but my clever girlsfriends are big fans.
Batiste Dry Shampoo
After a day of beach, sun and sand, my friend came out of her room in record time, looking fresh and clean, with her hair looking like she’d just had a blow out. Her secret is Batiste Dry Shampoo.
She extends the time between washes, and looks fabulous — really fresh and clean.
I can’t wait to try these products! And stay tuned for more secrets from the girlfriends.
